Today we had a Cyber Smart lesson where we learned about copyright law. You can’t just use other people’s work without their permission. If you use free-to-use images you still have to attribute them. The best way to attribute someone is to add the link of the work and put it on your copy that you did.

Embedding learning into our Blogs

There are lots of different types of digital learning objects we embed into our blogs on a daily basis.
My favorite thing to share on my blog is literacy.
The easiest learning to share is my writing in Google Docs, simply just Copy and Paste it from the Google Doc onto your blog. However, don’t forget to use CTRL + SHIFT + V so that it gets rid of the formatting. You can always change the formatting on your blog.

My Promise with Maui
This story is where I am in first person and pretending to be the Sun from “Maui and the Sun”.
Aue! I have a feeling that Maui and his brothers are up to something bad. I can hear them mumbling about going to gather some harakeke to make something. I have no idea what they are trying to do but it must be something not that important. Everyone in the village is grumbling about me moving too fast. I don’t care what they say about me, I just care about myself. I saw Maui and his brothers making some rope out of the harakeke that they went to go and get. I wonder what they’re planning to do with it? The next day I rise from my sleep and Maui and his brothers have thrown a bunch of ropes over me and tied me up. I laugh at them, waiting for the ropes to burn but they don’t. I start to struggle more and more. Maui laughs and tells me that they put fire resistance on the ropes. He says if I want to live I have to Promise to go slow. I promise them that I will move slowly now every day I show up For 12 hours then go to sleep.
Teachers Only Day
On Thursday the 19th it was my school’s “Teacher Only Day”. Teacher Only Day is a day where it is only the teachers allowed at school while the students have a day off of school. On that day I went to the clothing shops in Otahuhu.
My uncle took me there and bought me some new clothes if I ever go somewhere. He also bought me 2 Steak and Cheese Pies and a Sprite can. After that we went back home and went straight to sleep.
When I woke up I played on ROBLOX on my laptop. It was the best day that I ever had in my entire life. After an hour my uncle left and he said that he would come again tomorrow.
My School Value Superhero: Respect
My school value super hero is my uncle. His super power is showing respect. Respect is showing care and concern for someone else’s rights, feelings or wishes.
He is a really good listener whenever I ask him for help. I remember when I asked him for help on how to get better at basketball. He gave me some really great advice on how to make my defence better. He is the best at showing respect.
Would you rather eat Hot Cross Buns or Easter Eggs
For this task we had to choose between hot cross buns or Easter eggs. I found this task really fun because this is an amazing would you rather.
Wall of Fame
For the end of the term we made a google drawing saying of what we have accomplished and information about ourselves. I found this task really easy for me.
Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages
Today for our maths session we learnt how to turn fractions into decimals, decimals into percentages and percentages into fractions. It was really difficult at first but then I got more easier
Flag Football
Today for our P.E session we played flag football. It was really fun and amazing. What we did well in today’s P.E session we were making our own plans. What we need to do better next time is to pass the ball to all of your team mates if you get the chance.
